8th Regional Biophysics Conference

RBC 2018, #ReBiCon2018

Zreče, May 16th - 20th 2018

Welcome to the website of the 8th Regional Biophysics Conference. This conference has a long tradition of fostering regional cooperation, exposing young researches and reviewing recent advances in experimental, theoretical, and applied biophysics.

This year, the conference will be held in Zreče, Slovenia. It will open on Wednesday afternoon, 16th of May 2018, and close after lunch on Sunday, 20th of May 2018. It will consist of lectures, exhibitions, poster sessions, and exciting social events, promoting creative interaction of participants throughout the conference.

For the first time, the RBC will be closely connected with social networks - the lectures will be streamed live on Twitter and participants are encouraged to interact before and during the conference using the hashtag #ReBiCon2018!

With 200 expected participants and five days of stimulating interactions, it is expected to be the most important European event in the field between the two subsequent EBSA meetings.

The 2018 RBC will be starting soon! Make sure to check out the final programme, the book of abstracts, and, if applicable, read the final instructions for lecturers and poster presenters.

To make RBC as interactive as possible, we kindly ask you to follow our twitter announcements on #ReBiCon2018. Check the RBC 2018 web page regularly as well for all the details.

Also, we invite you to join in on the action: chat with each other on Twitter or Facebook (don't be shy!) and use the hashtag #ReBiCon2018 when sharing your enthusiasm for biophysics with others!

During the poster sessions, don't forget to visit the exciting sponsor booths, including

"Nanotemper will proudly present the newest member of their instrument family – Tycho NT.6 for fast and simple protein quality checking. Join them for a short presentation on Thursday evening and visit their booth to learn more. Leave your contact details and participate in their Friday ruffle! Get to know Tycho NT.6 and win new Galaxy Tab A! Take fate in your own hands"

Nanion technologies
"Nanion Technologies is proud to present the newest addition to our bilayer family, the Orbit mini. Learn more about the capabilities of this compact, but very powerful artificial bilayer recording device. We will also provide an exclusive opportunity for you to test the system, even with your own protein samples, as we will have the complete Orbit Mini setup up and running during the conference! Join us!"
